Evidence-based evaluation for strategic impact

Public sector bodies and the organisations they fund must ensure that their policies and programmes deliver the best outcomes economically, as well as being equitable. To do this, they need to evaluate their interventions through robust data collection, research and analysis.

Our multidisciplinary team (including economists, statisticians, social researchers, data scientists and policy experts) has extensive experience in designing and conducting impact, process and economic evaluations across wide-ranging policy domains and sectors. Our methodologies reflect best practice guidance (e.g., HM Treasury Magenta Book, Green Book and Aqua Book), and we have expertise in applying experimental, quasi-experimental analysis and theory-based methods to assess impact.

We specialise in evaluating interventions involving hard-to-quantify and intangible benefits, often in complex and adaptive environments. We use AI and technology to support our research and analysis. We work closely with several clients in providing evaluation support, enhancing their research and analytical capability to produce rapid and real-time feedback to test new approaches, support continuous improvement and nurture learning. Our monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks provide clients with a systematic approach that enables them to track their progress, understand their impact and use the insights gained to improve future delivery.
